Here we are enjoying the summer sun! So far we have been to two great shows and it always great to see such passion for classic cars going strong. Our recent trip to the Little Dunmow car show was an excellent day where many people admired our Beetle which stood out next to the Ferrari parked next to it (well we thought so!)
We have seen some great cars becoming available and we are progressing into a larger parking availability so soon we will be able to develop our stock list even more. We have recently purchased an outstanding two owner Morris Minor from 1971 which has only 62k from new - it drives really well and we were surprised to cruise at 60mph with no rattles or wobbles at all - very unusual for such an old vehicle. The lovely couple we bought it from have had it since 1987 and it has always been garaged and occasionally taken out for a short spin - we wish we could keep all our cars this long! In the recent classic car press there was an article about which cars are increasing in value and the emergence of air cooled Beetles (as well of course as the meteoric rise of all Porsche) and classic British cars is good news - we have always thought that these cars were undervalued and they will not be making anymore so the search for cars in excellent condition continues in haste - the only problem is we will look back in twenty years time as the prices spiral upwards and wish we had kept them all? Time will tell. We have another show next weekend and trying to choose whether to take the Beetle of the Morris is pressing.... we will keep you updated! Enjoy the summer and happy motoring!
